Blue dial watch on a NATO strap
Discussion
When my blue Tudor Subs are on NATOs, they are pretty much always grey, the Lead Grey from CNS a favourite at the moment, but other blue-ish greys like the Phoenix Admiralty Grey, work well.
I find a blue NATO a bit too much blue on a blue watch... Black too boring... colours orange/yellow, especially if they pick up lume patina, can work well but don't feel very 'everyday', to me.
This is lead grey, lighter in natural light, whole watch looks quite dark (except the lume) under these artificial lights (or not great light from the window):

Of all the replies I think this is the most cohesive. Partly because Tudor seems to be the only manufacturer to properly do a 'dull' blue. I wish more would.I find a blue NATO a bit too much blue on a blue watch... I also find blue on blue a bit too much.

CNS just released hot pink and purple classic NATOs.
Thank you but they get very mixed reviews from what I can see, a lot of comments saying they never delivered or the straps are very poor quality.Bob_Defly said:

Yes, I am SO disappointed they didn't do a better job of the modern blues they have used. Apologies to those with blue FXDs, Pelagos and alike but... it doesn't work for me.I also find blue on blue a bit too much.

I’ve not had a problem with CNS delivering, I’ve had 3 sets of straps from them now, sold most on and just kept the ones I liked. The one in the photo was worn all holiday in the pool and on the beach and barely been off my wrist for 2 months now, it still looks and feels like new.
Mine is a Paratrooper not Marine Nationale, sorry for the confusion. I prefer the paratrooper straps as the ‘spare’ length of strap goes under the hook so it doesn’t dig into your wrist.

not to worry they were cheap enough and I did get some standard single pass ones too.
