OK, a mate has asked me to find him a proper watch for 300 notes. Criteria he's set - metal strap, silver (no gold or bi colours), big and heavy.

He doesn't mind going second hand if it means him getting something really nice.

I'd like to have something Aeronautical about it (long story), and I'd like it to mark him out as a horologist, rather than someone who got lucky.

Can you get Bell & Ross's for that kind of money?

You could get a fake Bell & Ross for that, but why not look at Breil.

A second hand Sinn should be about there. They do some good big fliegers.
