My brother is after a new watch, c£50. I suggested Monsters, SKX007 etc - but he insists it must be digital...

My first thought was a Suunto Core, but didn't realise how expensive they are!

Any recommendations - was thinking some sort of divers/G-Shock etc?

Many thanks.

DW-5600E all day long.

If he's not 'into' watches you could have a look a Diesel digitals too I suppose.

£50 is past 'nerd chic' £15 Casios, and just the start of the good stuff. Not a lot to choose in that bracket.

I got the missus one of those, but she had a bit of an allergic reaction to it.

She swapped it with me for my :

If it's Casio cheapness I recommend this seller :

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/SUSTUU/_i.html?_kw=casio&...

I've had 3 of him, all UK market fully boxed stuff.

No connection etc. etc.

I think this is the most iconic digital watch available. Despite having watches worth many many times more, I often feel the need to buy one of these, one day I'll get around to it..

He's had a couple of them - he even splashed out for the blue-backlit one second time round!

Was thinking of something with a bit more to it - waveceptor maybe?

Keep an eye out in H Samuels, I picked up a G shock GW-6900 for less than £50 earlier this year. Cant fault it, all mod cons - waveceptor, solar, 200m etc.... smile

Or the argos shop on Ebay, none listed at the moment but the do pop up fairly often.

Happy hunting!

Thanks all - as usual, left it to the last moment...

Got him this:

as he is a fan of the radio clock function.

Happily surprised at the £24.95 price tag too! Was expecting £50. Seems to be fairly toughly built even though it's not a G-Shock.
