Not sure about a 9K estimate. What the list of a modern reproduction?

I saw that in yesterday's paper that and they called it a Tag Heuer not a Heuer.

Me neither. Just a little over twice the price of a good original but without the provenance? or maybe two to three times more than a brand new one?

Sounds cheap to me, it is THE actual watch afterall. That's a shedload of Kudos on your wrist.

It's not the watch worn by McQueen, it's just shoddy journalism as usually. There's a few in the sale, and apart from the black one they're just the usual 1133B's but with papers and boxes. Won't go for £9k unless there's 2 stupid people bidding. 6 ish maybe.

The black one looks very nice in the flesh.

I'll take that back if it wasn't the one he wore then.

IIRC the actual McQueen watch made just $10,000 the last time it was available, which wasn't so long ago. I thought that was dirt cheap at the time.

It's only a film prop anyway. McQueen wanted the accuracy of Delaney's character sponsored by Heuer.
If you look carefully in some of the away from track scenes in the film you get fleeting glimces of McQueen wearing his own 5513 Sub wink
