Why am I finding it so difficult to find Natos with PVD fixings?? Am I looking in the wrong places? Can anyone steer me in the right direction?
Thanks,

Rob

This seller on EBay US. I have had 2 from them, a black 5 ring PVD on my KMU48 and an orange 5 ring satin silver on Monster. The rings are solid round and very heavy duty (not 'D' shape)like on most. Excellent quality and delivery was pretty prompt if I remember correctly.

I could do you a pic if want (when I get home).

Rob,
Not the greatest pics but hope they help.

Glycine KMU48 on black 5 ring PVD from the supplier I mentioned before.

Seiko Monster on orange 5 ring - same supplier.

and as a reference, a Tauchmeister T46 diver on black 3 ring. I have a couple of these from various UK suppliers and to be honest there is no comparison. Much cheaper quality webbing and rings, but very similar price point.

I sound like an advert for the guy but just a very satisfied customer.

Russ

ps Sorry about the bezel OCD'ers, I didn't notice when I was taking the picture.

I haven't got or even tried a Nato strap, am I missing out ?
They give a watch a utilitarian/military appearance.

They are very easy to change - no spring bar tools needed.

They come in many colours.

Bung them in the washing machine if they get sweaty/grubby.

They are cheap.

...and they are secure - if a £0.59p 2mm spring-bar breaks then the £2,000 watch head is still attached to the wrist...

Failing a NATO, and I don't know whether he's taking orders yet but gasgasbones velcro straps are worth a look for a secure utilitarian finish that doesn't have a buckle on the underside of the wrist.

(As a BTW, Carl started out making these in his shed for people a few years ago, initially from the NASA template to make a facsimile of the Omega Speedmaster watch strap used in EVA. From here he made a smaller version for normal wear plus several other incarnations and has since become a supplier of straps to Bremont and I think he's also going to sell them through an online watch shop. He'll make it bespoke to your wrist size and watch head size though, so try to catch him when he's not too busy and he should be able to sort you out).
