Goof places to look for ladies "classic" watches?

I am looking to buy MrsB a dress watch and have looked at a few designs. She likes small face and steel & gold bracelet, mother of pearl face with diamonds etc. they seem to be around £1,000 to £1,500 - I know it will be quartz but I guess the value is in the fact that she can wear it with an evening dress and jewellery. As with a lot of jewellery I reckon you get a better deal second hand but I most of the 2nd hand watch dealers seem to deal mostly in what I guess you would call proper men's automatics and mechanical watches rather than jewellery watches. Anyone got any suggestions?
