Hi,
going to Hong Kong tomorrow for a few days, never been before and was wondering where would be the best place to check out any deals on new watches? Wife is potentially looking for a Patek or Nardin, maybe a Zenith or Tudor for me,
thanks
Ian

Head to Causeway By there are plenty of stores on the Percival Street wherevit meets Times Square mall. Certainly a big Tudor/Rolex AD outside times sq. Patel have a boutique in central off Queens Road Central iirc but I suspect you can get a better deal elsewhere.

Bargain hard. Got any Cantonese friends if you don't speak it yourself? It will help.

There's a Rolex and Tudor AD very close to the TST Star Ferry Terminal on mainland Kowloon as well, walk towards the Penninsular(sp?) Hotel and you won't miss it. The Penn also has it's own mini arcade, don't know if you'll get the best deal there but there'll be plenty to look at and try on!

Well, managed to get a UN Lady diver for the Mrs and a Zenith Chrono for myself, both with a 20% discount. Also managed to blag a spare black leather strap for the Zenith, tried to upload some dodgy pictures:

Very nice. Whereabouts did you get them for future reference?

Hi,
we got them from the Ocean Centre/Ocean Terminal Arcades in Harbour City. The wifes came from the UN boutique(2nd floor) and mine from a dealers called 'Prince'(3rd floor). Both good to deal with,
cheers

Beautiful Zenith! I bought an El Primero from one of the boutiques in Ocean Terminal many years ago.

Thanks. Looked at Tudors (tried one from the Glamour range & also a Grandtour), but didn't actually like them enough close up, much preferred the Zenith.

I dont think Zenith competes with Tudor. Zenith remain infamous for horological engineering/accuracy, are one of a very small handful of remaining Manufactures, and are priced accordingly.

Enjoy the El Primero! :-)

Thanks & will do. I realise that perhaps Zenith & Tudor don't complete with each other but having read many threads about them(Tudor) here and seeing so many pictures I thought I would like them more. Each to there own I guess, but I am well pleased with the Zenith, even sad enough to time the flight back from Hong Kong to Shanghai today.
