I have deployments on all my leather straps.

My Top Gun came with a pin buckle which I did not like so tried a cheap deployment and it was rank. So bought a deployment for a Big Pilot. Works great.

yes

I have / have had several & most have been pretty comfortable. You don't need to spend big bucks either

Prefer them over pin and buckle - don't like creasing the leather the way that pin and buckle does.

might just be the style that is uncomfortable because the bend of it digs into the corner of my wrist, got a new watch on the way that i'm going to get one for so i'm going to to try a butterfly style one and that might be better

You could do worse than get one of these

Got this exact one through the post just before Xmas for my JazzMaster, haven't fitted it yet so can't comment on how comfortable it is but it looks well finished for the money.
