Just bought an Air King from Watches of Switzerland and it came without the green sticker on the back. Now not doubting the source for a minute, or the watches providence, but is this normal now? Have they stopped stickering up the lowly Air King?

Not anymore. They look crap anyway after a while if it is a daily wearer.

>>>> the green sticker that is.

Thanks. Ironically I was looking at fake ones online and noticed they all had green hologram stickers.

I bought a 2nd hand GMT II Master (and yes, it is genuine!) a few years ago- it didn't have the green sticker on the back (I guess the previous owner took it off).

Makes absolutely no difference to me whether there's a sticker there or not!

My new ceramic Sub didn't have one. The previous LV did, as did the 16610 before that.

They must have decided they're cack!

Nothing to worry about Luke. Rolex stopped doing the green case back stickers accross the range about 2 years ago. They replaced it with a mini bar code type thing in the plastic case protector along the 9 o'clock case side. This is to allow Rolex to track the watch through the entire manufacture/distribution chain.

It's supposed to be. When it reaches the buyer, it's reached the end of the distribution chain..... wink
