Problems with my Omega

Im finding it hard to find out any information about the problems with my Omega. Its a Sea Master Planet Ocean that I have owned from new since May 2009. I wear this watch daily and its been great. However its recently stopped working was wearing it one day and noticed it had just stopped. I tried winding it like it says to do in the manual if it hasnt been used but that only lasts for 3/4 hours. I have read through the operating instructions and cant find anything. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? Would the watch have to be sent away to be looked at by an authorised repairer?

Not quite due a service, back to the local approved retailer would be the first port of call.
