Having had an expensive tag (sold) then an omega speedmaster (sold) and a longines (10 yr old but damaged on a night out....long story!!)

Do i have a right to look forward to a Seiko skx007j arriving along with a super oyster II strap separately or am I being a skintflint!!!!!!?

No I think you will like the Seiko SKX007 it has a very utilitarian rugged look!

Treat the watch to a nice domed blue Ar sapphire at a later date and you'll have one beauty.

If it's something that you want, then yes you have a right to look forward to it!

IMO enjoying watches (or cars) are not all about money, or about the name.

I say this every time someone mentions the 007... but I really miss mine (lost somewhere!).

I always hope one day it will turn up.

IMO the best buy for Seiko SKX007s is the Tz-Uk sale forum as they can often be had for £90-£110 in very good condition.

Well, got it on now, v nice!!!! Having spent a few quid on my previous omega, tag and longines....how is it that a Seiko can look quite nice in comparison.....lesson learnt today..."look past the brand!!"

Roll on the super oyster strap then will figure out how to post a pic in the wrist thread.....

You're fine! I've got an IWC, Panerai, Longines, Omega, etc. and I still wear my Seiko Monster on a regular daily basis. Love that fact that it's durable and looks good. Enjoy!

What are the differences between the J and K models?

How is yours for time keeping so far?

Probably not much!! As I understand the J model is marked on the face diffferently as made in japan and is supposedly better made, not convinced by that theory but it seems to be more in demand in terms of pricing but hey ho who knows??

Got it on today with the office gear and it looks fine although the particular shirt I have on is not overly forgiving in the cuff for the watch size....

Have you tried the SKX on a Green or Black Rhino strap?
