I have a pvd coated watch and have just caught it on glass coffee table. Has caused a small chip on the lug nothing that you would see, bit do I need to do something to protect the pvd coating? Just a little worried about if living from this chip and growing in size.

Any help greatly appreciated

It'll be fine ... The mark will not grow in size smile Just be careful though, as a more noticeable mark would(*) require a full re-application of PVD - The coating is really, really thin! Failing that, a black sharpie has also been known to work hehe

ETA: *You don't have to have the PVD re-applied!

Did wonder about a marker pen but my coating is more gunsmoke grey than black. Cheers for the reply was hoping that ot would be the case that it wouldn't get any bigger. I know that no one else will see it but its been removed in a strop as I know its there.
