Pretty much as the title suggests.
For the watch nerds out there thats the CAW2111.FC6183
I've done quite a bit of internet research on this.
The UK retail price for this is £3500 most US prices are £1700.
Because of the way TAG control pricing in the UK, anyone selling these in the UK for less than £3500 will mostly likely find are only importing them from the US themselves and adding on a margin. Makes sense to cut out the middle men and go direct to the US.
The insanity of the UK prices is staggering, I know there are obvious problems with buying form the USA but hell £1800.

£370 aproxx. Thats if it gets picked up at customs.So if we add this to our US price that comes to £2070 and the UK price is still £3500.
As one poster says you could also fly out there. I would suggest put the watch on, post the empty box back to the UK and still have a few hundred left over from a trip to the US.
I wish more people would do this before buying watches in the UK

Why would you want a second hand one when you can have a brand new one for the same price and I find I have more money if I transfer money to companies with reputation and history rather than some geezer on a watch forum with a paypal account. 
It's not the same price as you will pay import duty, VAT and a handling charge. New ones can be bought for less.
Personally I wouldn't have a watch that says 'Tag' on it which are discounted in this country as well when I could have one of these
Yes it's second hand, used and probably worth 3 times the cost of a new one but I would have it over any of the current new ones.
This one would be a much better buy than a new one.

That's more than a little perjorative. TZ-UK takes very careful steps to make sure that sellers have a reasonable history with the site, and there are plenty of ways in which legitimate sellers can build up good reputations for potential buyers to inspect. Many PHers have had very successful sales and purchases on TZ-UK for watches worth far more than something like this.Quite apart from this bizarre notion you seem to have that no Tag dealer in the UK can discount their pricing, I just don't think it is quite as clear cut as you make out. For many here there is plenty of attraction in a cherished used example rather than buying online from the US.

I quite agree there is charm in a second hand watch but if you want a brand new one the best approach is to get a US price FIRST then ask a UK dealer to match it. That is the sensible thing to do right?
