Rolex GMT 1675
Discussion
Hi Guys
I have been looking at the 1675s and I think they seem to be great value. They look amazing IMHO and seem to go for £3 - 3.5k.
However, due to their age a lot seem to come without boxes and papers, and some seem to have been serviced by non-Rolex jewellers.
Is that massively detrimental to the price?
Also, anyone have an idea of how much inshould be paying? I just don't want to
get ripped off
Cheers

Do you have any experience of buying vintage Rolexs?
It's an absolute nightmare with regard to whether they're 'all original' or Rolex-serviced and had replacement parts.
If you're unaware of what you're buying I would buy from a dealer. You will pay extra for the privilege, but at least you will know what you're buying.
Your valuation seems pretty much bang on.
I wouldn't worry about a lack of original paperwork or boxes, most are unlikely to have them and you will pay significantly more to have them.
As long as the watch has good history I wouldn't worry about buying without.
