I want a Black Bay Chrono for a big birthday this year in August and have registered my interest with Goldsmiths via the website. Am I being realistic with timescale or are these difficult to get at rrp?

I was asking in Watches of Switzerland a couple of weeks ago, the answer....long wait, especially on the bracelet. He wouldn't say how long but he didn't sound too confident. That was in Birmingham.

I've been on a waiting list for one since the summer with a store I have bought from, they told me expect 12-18 months.

There is a new one for sale in a store near me for £4200 if you want to pay only a few hundred over. Can email you the link.

I'm on a waiting list at two places, one I have purchase history with and have been for around 4-5 months so far.
I think it does depend on which face you are wanting, the popular one being white face with black sub dials.

I've seen the black face with white sub dials in a Goldsmiths shop window for sale once recently and it was there for about 24 hours before it sold, I did consider buying it but I knew I'd regret it long term.
