I've recently purchases an EMAS watch from the watch shop within Bramley London and I really love it...........made me think that you can actually get a lot of pleasure from inexpensive watches.........EMAS watches apparently started life as hotel loan watches so you could leave your rozza in the safety deposit box and still have a watch on the beach...........accept I'd just wear my rozza on the beach!

Anyway..........any suggestions for credit cruch cool around £200?

It is an impressive amount of watch for the money. Hoping the military chronograph goes on sale soon!

I've got a C8 pilot and it's a lovely thing. Big, chunky, well-made. Looks the mutt's in the flesh, and keeps decent time, too.

I'm quite keen on vintage Seikos - like the Navigator Timer I am currently wearing that used to be my Dad's:

Alternatively, I'm quite a fan of the irony of having a gold digital watch - a great statement in these credit crunch times smile

Time to muddy the waters. This link's been in my bookmarks for a while and I'd forgotten about it.

Retro World is handily categorised into price brackets.

In the £50-£100 bracket, we have this:

and this:

and this:

and lots more.

Oh dear.

I'm about to have an internet shopping "accident".

Been on the bay looking to spend a little money after culling my collection and came across this -

and it can be found here -

Watch plus delivery just shy of £200............have a few things bubbling on the bay at the moment, and if they don't happen, might just have to treat myself to one of thesesmile

The more I see these Christopher Ward watches the more I want one!

Are they really a good watch? Seem pretty cheap for what your getting.

Are the 9 jewel ones as good as the 22 jewel ones?

Im debating between these 2:

And

http://www.christopherward.co.uk/pd2_MENS_C4-PILOT...

Not sure if having the extra button by the 7 o'clock position will be annoying or not?

That is lovely!

After ordering a Werner's watch and being disappointed with it's quality (I sent it back and got a refund) I ordered a C3 on tan strap from Christopher Ward, no such quality issues this time and 6 months down the line the watch is perfect.
