No experience with either sorry but that JLC looks like a very special watch, the sort of watch only a real watch connaisseur would wear. How much is it? I fancy one myself now
I am waiting on a price for the Master Control World Geographic. I believe the retail price is £7,300 for the stainless steel version.

I agree, I love JLC and will have one soon. Personally, I don't like the look of most Panerai (sorry, before i get a load of hate mail!)
That's the thing. They're two completely different styles of watches. You could justify having both in your collection (if you liked them, of course) for different occasions. It's like chucking in a TVR Cerbera for a Mercedes S class that will be your weekend/track car.Handled one at my local AD last weekend (the Master Control Geo.), and it was STUNNING. It was pre-owned, at $11,000, so realistically perhaps $9-9.5k?
Anyhow, you must get it. It's uttlerly amazing, and the reserve+world time features are just sublime complications.
The more I see of JLC, the more I think of them as one of the most prolific master developers in the world. The way they can continually create the most amazing movements & complications which blow me away, place them in the most amazingly styled and detailed cases of the highest order at a TRULY reasonable price, puts JLC right at the top of the pecking order, in my meagre opinion.
Surely Patek make some amazing pieces, as with Breguet, Vacheron et al, but you most certainly pay for the privilage of owning one. For the price of an IWC-modified ETA piece, the JLC series really is amazing value.

They do get some interesting limited editions in the Boutique out here.
I have almost decided to go for the JLC World Master Geographic in stainless steel. Any ideas what discount I should be asking for from an AD?
I think this watch looks fantastic! Check out the link on Youtube...

With regard to discounts 20% is a good target.
I have the JLC Master Data Control.
Classsically beautiful watches and as my local watch guru said to me : 'a proper watch'.
I had my eye on a seciod hand black face Master Moon in a local jewellers but he wanted £3k and has been holding out since Septenmmber. I sus[pect because they are selling for a customer so it only owes them a few inches of window space and they are making a few bob commission. Didn't even agree to go back to the owner to see if he might acept an offer.
