Brand new, wanted $10k
Was in the Jewellery quarter so did not trust them, I probably should have.
I also think it was too much to pay (but I wanted it).
What do you lot think?
Was gutted walking out of the shop with Wallet Watcher telling me "its too much to spend on a watch".

I think you should go back without the wallet watcher and buy it
I don't know much about Rolex, but it seems they are going for around £6-7k second hand for a good condition one.
$10k, accroding to xe.com = £7247.41.
Yep, I agree, but just could not talk Wallet Watcher into it and I was nervous of the shop.

Are they not an Authorised Dealer?

$10,000 is not a great price. The exchange rate is killing this deal, as pointed out it's £7250 which is a very unfriendly West End price. Plus you may (or may not) get asked to contribute 15% and duty to HMRC on your way back in.....

Ashley.
I put in an offer today on a rather expensive house. If its accepted, I may need to free up all the cash I can, in order to pay the stoopid stamp duty.
Let me know if you're about to buy one in the next month
Don't expect a bargain though mate, I'll want what its worth, and I still think you could spend £6-7k feeding your horological lust better on other time pieces rather than on an SS Daytona.
