Ladies Cartier Santos strap

just took my girlfriends santos into Cartier as a link has broken......they quoted me £500 for a new bracelet! I thought it would be a simple link exchange for about £100! apparently this is not possible...the watch is about 6 years old so not covered on waranty etc..

Any ideas??

Stick it on a tidy leather strap for around £30?

I guess it depends which link is broken? If it's one of the links which are used for sizing then they could probably just replace that link? If it's one of the other ones, then maybe the onyl way is to replace the whole bracelet?

find someone who has very small wrists and has removed links they might sell or some dealers remove them for sale so they fit the customer so usually have a tub of spare links
