Firstly apologies if the title gave anyone the hope that I was offering some kind of discount information rather than requesting it.

I'm teetering on the precipice of purchasing a BB with black bezel; likely from Goldsmiths as they're my local Tudor AD (Cardiff). I've never dealt with them before so have no idea if discounts are available or if I have no chance with the BB. Does anyone have any knowledge of how their discount scheme works (if they have one) or if I'm likely to be able to walk in off the street as a first time buyer and "old' out yer aand' " them to 10% off.

Any recommendations or advice appreciated smile

Well, you could just go via Top Cashback and get 11%...

It seems the BB is available to purchase in showrooms only therefore a cash back site wouldn't work I believe?

A quick call to Dominic Hackett maybe worthwhile.

I've heard the name mentioned positively on here on many occasions, I'm looking to purchase new with warranty etc, unsure if that's Doms thing? Maybe I should call him and find out smile

I bought my BB Red from Iconic Watches a couple of years ago.

A quick check on their site now is showing various bezel colours in stock at £2440 = 7% discount.

Just be cheeky and ask outright for discount. If they say no, shop around from dealer to dealer.

My experience of Goldsmiths is they are pretty awful, and have a fairly bad attitude, this includes their Rolex staff, and staff i discussed a service with for my Breitling. Just plain rude and need to learn customer service skills, i'll be using Berry's local AD for breitling for my service's in future as a result. You can only speak as you find things, i gave them a chance. Hope you get better experience than i did.

I would aim to try get 15-20% (def possible) as long as its not the new GMT Pepsi, or the Steel and gold BB where Rolex waiting list games apply.

Good Luck!

Thanks both, Iconic Watches, will take a look, 7% is decent.

If I could get 15 or even 20% well that would be lovely. I have nothing to lose from enquiring. Yea it seems the GMT is quite the ticket atm so wouldn't expect money off, from the GMT thread running it seems there's a list to be added to yikes.

The GMT is lovely but I'm looking for something even more understated from the already understated Tudor.

if I can muster the energy to walk to half mile to Goldsmiths at lunchtime I'll report back

The last watch I bought from Dom was new with an AD Stamp on the paperwork and full warranty.

Definitely worth a call.

Berry’s is part of the Goldsmiths chain though isn’t it??! (Unless I imagined it, was sure it is though)

Good to hear DK.

OK will call/email. I have momentum now so will likely pop into GS at lunch, depending on the deal will see what happens but I'm not expecting much of a discount.

Ah, sorry. My mistake.

Just as a side note, regarding Goldsmiths, I was in my local one last week and made some very initial enquiries regarding a Tudor, and found them to be very accommodating.

I only just realised myself smile

Well popped into GS, almost got to finish the word "discount" and was summarily informed "no discounts on Tudors". It seems experiences vary.

I am however in talks with Dom, thanks to those who recommended him smile

You passing schiphol anytime soon? I was after the ETA version for ages and by luck found it there when passing. With exchange rates I got plus a bit of sweet talking managed to get about 20% off standard retail.
