I’m not sure if this topic has came up before but It is something I’ve thought about but it’s a hard choice.

So if you only had one watch what would it be?

One of these:

Smart enough to wear anywhere, robust enough to take knocks, waterproof enough not to get drowned, not so flashy as to attract the wrong kind of attention.

If it's just one watch then you've really got to do it yourself so you have it just the way you want.

A Sea Dweller, without a cyclops! Robust, handsome, good in the bath or rain.

I’ve been thinking about this all day. I was hoping to think of a really cool and indefidual watch but I keep coming back to my Speedmaster Man on the f***ing mooooon!

If I had money I would go for the Royal Oak black dial ( not really black but a dark grey)

I'd wear the watch I'm wearing right now...

Part of me thinks it should be the watch that would be hardest for me to replace for that reason alone, but I think it would be my 14060M

A 36mm Datejust for me, in my particular taste with fluted bezel but with oyster strap, batons and a blue dial. Smart enough for any event but still almost casual with the oyster bracelet.

Not too big to be ostentatious, not too small to look too delicate, perfectly robust and tells you the time and the date.

It is a watch I already own and does hold some sentimental value but I do think it's the all things to all men watch-I've got others of course but the DJ36 is the one I'd keep if I needed to get rid of the rest.

Just turns into a “what watch have you got thread”

I think I would have a gmt2 black/blue bezel. Or a omega SM chrono.

There a lots of watches I love but would be impractical for constant everyday wearing.

Agreed, it's the title

If you could only keep and wear one watch?

"keep" could imply you already had it...

You could infer that. I'd infer that I was gifted any watch of my choice to keep.

Someone else might infer that they were locked forced to dress as the miler's daughter then locked in the castle tower with a spinning wheel and some straw until they produced gold.

This thread has been done before. I think last time I wrote something along the lines of "One watch? Pfft. Don't be so silly." Unlike BoJo, I'll stand by what I said.

I'd sell all my watches today for a Daytona!
