Hello, long time lurker and had a quick question please...

Does anyone have recommendations for a watch finder service, where someone is able to scour the marketplace for a specific item, appraise it as genuine, then set up the purchase [and receive their finder's fee]?

I only ask because I'm looking for a particular rare Omega, vast majority of which seem to be sold privately and abroad. Concerned about shelling out money to then find out it's not perhaps what it purports to be..

If such a service is pie in the sky, then is it a better approach to ask an appraiser to look at the item for insurance purposes?

As you probably can tell, I've only been into ADs and boutiques and bought items over counter, so I don't have a handle on this.

Thoughts, humour, ideas welcome! Cheers.

Is there one on here?
https://www.watchfinder.co.uk/Omega/watches

You'll pay a bit of a premium but at least you have comeback should there be an issue with the watch.

Which model do you want?

Try the Omega Watch Owners Group on Facebook. Best place to ask is usually an owners group

I've bought a couple of Alex Woodmansee here at AJW

As a rule I hesitate to resommend generally but I've found him excellent.
