Which watches have a raised wavy pattern on the dial? I know Christopher Ward's of old did, and old Seamaster's did as well, but which others? I want a watch with this pattern but I don't have Seamaster money frown

Google Seiko “Save The Ocean”. Quite a few to choose from in that range although not all have waves.

The Seiko Save the Oceans look amazing imho, but not a traditional wave pattern.

I think it's better though

Very good shout - they did the Samurai, the turtle and one other I can’t remember, but all with a similar wave pattern.

Also, this Christopher Ward dive watch is very nice!

Edit - it’s £900 as well. I’m sure there are more wave-pattern dials, just can’t think of any at the moment! Maybe one of the Oris Aquis special editions?

The finest example of wavy dials IMHO...

Omega Seamaster 2531.80.

Biased obviously.

As much as I like a good Omega and it needs to be mentioned here, the wave pattern is pretty basic on them imho.

Jeepers they have gone up in price. £2500-3000 for a 14 year old quartz model.

One of those few times I was ahead of the curve and bought mine in 2013 for £1500. Automatic naturally.

That can't be sold prices.

Some of the quartz ones on eBay are touching PO prices though, which makes no sense to me.

Ceramic dial, wavy face, nicely finished but a chunky old thing. The movement had a unidirectional rotor so was a bit ‘spinny‘. It kept decent time.

I think it was about €65.

Good ones do sell for 2.5k
Quite like mine. Not worn much, but it always shows the right time. No faffing about setting it when it comes out of the drawer!
The batteries have lasted almost 5 years between changes ..

That's why I bought my blue quartz one, it's very comfortable to wear & always just grab & go. Back in the day they weren't too expensive so I have spare unworn black one as well. The problem is I prefer the black dial but now it's a bit of a safe queen.

The quartz model was the one featured in GoldenEye wasn't it, the first Brosnan 007 film before he switched to the automatic.

I think it's also one of the princes (Will or Harry) that wears one a lot, given to him by Diana.

Random I guess but links like that can make them more collectable I suppose..
