Identify this submarine?

On holiday near Helensburgh and have just had a submarine pass us heading out from Faslane

We’re struggling to work out what it is/which navy though? Looks quite small to me. Any experts out there?

Seems like a rare spot then as most of the class are broken right now

Its an Astute class. Possibly sea trials for either Artful which is due back in service this year, or Agememnon which is due to enter service soon.

Well our luck has continued and we’ve just seen a Vanguard class come home from patrol (or so I’m led to believe).

We saw two Royal Marine boats and a small gunboat leave earlier along with tugs and then we could track the pair of tugs coming back in close formation via an AIS app so we had an idea something was up.
