I don't have a picture but have seen a "Warning: may contain nuts" on a packet of peanuts.

It does sound silly but peanuts are legumes and its possible to have a (tree) nut allergy and not be allergic to peanuts and vice versa.

I first saw that on the nuts on a Virgin Atlantic flight. Everything they served you sealed in a bag had some amusing, pithy or wry comment on it.

For some reason, this has entered internet folklore.

Not on food, but I've seen a sign on Christmas lights "for indoor and outdoor use only".
