It looks like the next US fast food chain to launch in the U.K. will be Popeyes

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9391285/U...

My experience of them in the US and South Africa is that they are very similar to KFC but with a spicy coating on their boned chicken if you want it.

Here is the menu -

A 3 piece medium meal in SA is just over £3 with large an extra 50p. Somehow I don’t think it will be the same price here

Much prefer Popeyes to KFC so I'm fine with that.

And may be clean there premises once in a while.

And decent fries, unlike KFC ones, would be good.

Are popeyes similarly priced to KFC in the US? I really don't want them to be expensive like Five guys/shake shack. KFC is already kinda expensive for the crap we get nowadays. Hopefully this makes KFC sort their act out.

Yes they are.

If I'm having chicken, it's Popeyes for me over KFC.

Good to see the reviews saying it’s better than kfc.

I sometimes have a favourite chicken if the kfc queue is too long but kfc tastes better. Kfc could definitely do a better job though so some decent competition would be good.

disgusting, slimy greasy crap. Had some once and threw it away. Havent yet tried their fried chicken sandwich which caused huge lines a couple of years back though.

Call me when chick-fil-a opens in the uk..... yum

This is good news as long as the menu includes the buttermilk biscuits that you can get in the US. Those are highly addictive!

We always have a Popeyes whenever we go to America. Hopefully they’ll have the proper American menu over here and not the standard chicken and chips menu that all British chicken shops have.
