I know that many of you will be biased against instant coffee but for those who drink it could I have your opinion please on an alternative to my usual Kenco Americano

I like my coffee black and strong. Due to Covid my taste is shot to hell, strong black tea tastes like hot water and I need over 3 spoonfuls of Kenco coffee to taste anything and there is no subtlety of flavour at all.

Is there a better alternative to Kenco for instant coffee drinkers?

I have tried Nescafe Azera and that was appalling.

The Lavazza Prontissimo brand is pretty good.

https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/291...

Better still though is to buy a small cafeitere or moka pot and use fresh ground coffee.

I'm not a coffee buff, but my wife, who is missing her normal coffee shop fix while wfh, loves the Taylors coffee bags. Not quite instant, but not far off.

When I don't have the time to grind and brew a fresh coffee - I use Nescafe Espresso as a instant - it and the Dowe Egberts pure gold are my go to instants.

Steaming cup of Lavazza Prontissimo here which we prefer over Kenco Americano, but if we see Illy instant on offer we clear the shelf.

I'd have thought with your taste and subtlety issues you may as well go for the cheapest bulk coffee you can find! You may as well find a benefit in loosing your taste!

I like my fresh coffee made from ground beans, prepared in an Aeropress I have one every morning with breakfast, however if I can't be arsed to faff about sometimes, my go to is Aldi Alcafe Barista Moments Intenso, it's really quite good.

Thanks guys. The You tube vid was interesting, the winner was Little's Premium Columbian, a new name to me.

I prefer to use a cafetière, it’s just as simple as instant in my opinion.

I’ve tried a lot of coffee but keep going back to something called “Hot Lava Java”.
