I was given a 4.5kg bar of Toblerone for Christmas, I ate a whole triangle last night which is 375g and 2,000 calories. So 24,000 calories in the whole bar.

I can't continue like this!

I'm thinking of melting a couple of triangles down and making large chocolate buttons which can be more manageably consumed.

Any other ideas?

Eat half a triangle or smaller depending on how many calories you want to consume in one sitting, simple really if you have the willpower.

Why mess around making buttons scratchchin

Will power isn't there for just half. It's still too much. Also, have you tried cutting one of those fkers.

I need to see it too!

I would have to treat it like a normal bar - open it up, be hypnotised and eat it in one go. biggrin

You don't cut it you use one of those little toffee hammers to break it into bits then only eat what you think is sensible.

Seems like you just don't have the willpower and even if you make buttons you will still stuff yourself silly smile

The upside is you can only eat it once anyway so eat it and be done with it fatty.

I too would struggle to not eat a full triangle per sitting! Love a Toblerone!
4.5kg is massive, could be worth 3D printing some small Toblerone moulds

I wouldn't try melting it. 'Eating' chocolate doesn't behave like 'cooking' chocolate, and you could end up with a split, grainy mess.

The nugget (nougarr, pfft) in it will go funny if you melt it

There’s a guy on YouTube with the channel Beard meets Food who does loads of food challenges and he couldn’t manage it.

I've had a few of these, price of them is too silly these days to keep doing it.

What I did with the last couple was hack off one triangle at a time and take it to work and just graze on it through the day, replaces lunch and snacks so isnt a purely additional 2,000 calories each day.

I use a small kitchen knife, pointy ended, you can then do a reasonably controlled job of cleaving off pits the size you can pop in your mouth. Poke the knife in (pointy ended) and push through rather than cutting. Could probably use a screwdriver if needs be.

Used to see these in Costco, kept badgering the other half to get me one for my 40th...

I'm glad she didn't! I reckon all but 3 chunks would have ended up in the bin.

Just get a decent knife and chop it up one triangle at a time, I then pop the chopped up triangle in a lidded container in the fridge, rinse and repeat until eaten.

My wife won one a few years ago. I ended up cutting it up and taking it into work to share.
