Goodwood is only half an hour for me so I'm a frequent visitor. Lots of good pubs in the area, here's one, the Royal Oak.

Food on the estate itself is pretty decent, if not cheap.

Farmer, Butcher is decent and only a bit more £££ than a decent pub

Another Royal Oak, but this one in Lavant. I haven’t been in a few years now but it was excellent the last time I did.

We ate at https://www.thepartridgeinn.co.uk/ during the FoS 2024. It was excellent even under pressure.

I've eaten at the Goodwood Bar and Grill and it was excellent. Literally right on the estate:

Anglesey Arms
Fox goes Free
The Walnut Tree
The Selsey Arms (sister to the much missed Gribble that keeps burning down)

All very good, and close.

For something a bit different, the Ghost at the Feast in North Street Chichester (few minutes from easy parking) is pretty good too.

The Butcombe ones do 25% off your bill on a Wednesday I think it is, just sign up for their loyalty card online
