May I recommend the vindaloo in Madhar Jaffrey's Indian Cookery (ISBN 0-563-16491-3) page 59-60. Well flavoured and not too hot (depending on how much ginger, garlic and chilli you use - and even what chilli you use !)

went to the local indian a while back, at the time had shaved head and had very nice jalfrezi, took off the hat due to feeling the heat and the waiters seemed concerned, but less so when they got their tip smile
