Hi all,

Looking for some inspiration for toppings on a homemade pizza.

So far I've come up with sundried tomatoes, mozzarella, chorizo and sweet pepper.... not very imaginative though!

Looking for something interesting or a bit different. Easy on the garlic, too wink

Ideas and inspiration needed, please help me!

That sounds delicious.

I like to make salmon & asparagus pizza. Steam them both first (separately) then add to the top of the pizza to crispy them. lick

Rosemary infused mascarpone cheese sauce, wild mushrooms sautéed in garlic butter, Roquefort blue cheese, grated mozzarella, topped with parsley.

A recipe I nicked and modified from here and is oh so tasty:

Spinach, goats cheese and crack a raw egg (or a couple of quails eggs) in the middle to cook at the end.

Bolognese sauce is amazingly good.

Thinly sliced chorizo works really well, goes nice and crispy.

Anchovies, and essential ingredient on any pizza, it should also be allowed to go dry and crisp.

Mozzarella (again, essential), plus any other cheese (cheddar works well).

And that's enough. Too many toppings is a bad thing.

Chicago-type pizza dough/pie + bolognese sauce + various meats + veg of your choice (mushrooms, onions, peppers) + parmessan ontop. done.

pretty much like a calzone, except its open. or like a pie, but without a top on it.

You'll have to trust me on this one - honestly, I'm not making this up - however unlikely it sounds...

Peanut butter, cheese, bacon and cranberry jelly.

It is awesome.

I can only assume they were the only items on offer in your entire kitchen? smile

Try some dollops/ crumbled bits of mascarpone on the pizza, in addition to mozzarella and other toppings. Adds a lovely richness to the pizza.

Have a look at Franco Mancas menu online for some good combinations that work well together.
