Poor bugger especially near xmas with so much demand..

I like a nice pie and I hope they took the van for the pies and not the van so they all end dumped.

Kind gesture, but then would they really be happy to able to sell pies that had been stolen/recovered anyway?

I know it's sometimes completely impractical for vans to be emptied at night or when left for long periods unattended, but some folk who do keep valuables in their vans don't always think of the risk of 'what if my van got stolen' when it comes to contents.

I feel sorry for 'one man band' tradesmen who have tools stolen from their van, that's their livelihood down the swan. However if I knew I had a couple of very expensive or specialist tools that my business relied upon then I'd be tempted to at least take them indoors at night.

In this instance I expect the van (which was refrigerated) was being used specifically to store the pies. 2500 pies take up a lot of fridge space and this time of year its at a premium.

That's my thought too based on the crashed van being found and recovered by Cleveland police 3 days before it was reported missing.

Will leave the PH massive to continue with jokes about porkers, crusts and pie related japery.
