Looks cool and probably not hard to recoup the cost vs supermarket herbs.

I thought they were for growing alternative herbs.

Mrs Bill got a grow lamp, recoup your costs in 1/10 of the time...

ETA slightly facetious, sorry, one of my colleagues was talking about them on Friday.

I've got something similar. My experience is basil grows easily, everything else goes mouldy and dies.

Must try it again sometime.

Thats my experience too. I gave up on it and went back to buying what I need.

Thread resurrection - for some reason my social feeds are inundated with ads for the Auk Mini. We do use a fair bit of basil and coriander and I get fed up buying a bag of it at the supermarket and discovering a few hours later it's already started turning. The live plants only ever seem to last so long too so wondering about getting one of these.

Anyone else got one and have experience to share? One thing that concerns me is that they sell their own "nutrients" (the chemicals and the special soil), these look like they could at least negate any medium to long term financial benefit compared to buying as-and-when from supermarkets?

Bought a similar thing from Ikea 5 or 6 years back, Basil and Coriander grew brilliantly it was great then i pushed it out the window by mistake and it was no longer great frown
