What's this wild mushroom?

Can anyone identify this mushroom? Found it this morning and wasn't sure if it was edible.

Looks like a false chanterelle.

edit: could be a saffron milk cap, but I think it's the former.

I'd be surprised if Mobile Chicane didn't know the answer.

It looks like it's got a ring - false chanterelles don't have one, and nor do saffron milk caps. I don't know what it is, but I definitely wouldn't eat it without a better ID. I don't recognise it as a common, popularly eaten species.
