Been drinking Crabbies and Franks (4.5) now and again, but feel awkward asking for it, should I try something else?

Crabbies do an alcoholic ginger beer now and its lovely. Normal ginger beer is perfectly ok to drink in a pub. Just dont ruin the flavor with cordial.

Asking for ginger beer in the pub, whether alcoholic or not, is absolutely fine.

Unless you happen to have a complex with regards to your masculinity and sexuality. In which case you'll worry that the entire pub thinks you a chutney ferret for ordering it. In which case possibly best to order something else.
