I'm rather partial to this cocktail on the premise of : 2 parts rye, 1 part sweet vermouth, dash of Angostura.

Any other variations I should try?

We use sweet vermouth and a dash of both Angostura and Fee Brothers Orange bitters. Orange twist to garnish.

If using Bourbon, i like mine a little drier - "perfect" (half dry half sweet vermouths), but with a cherry.
