Absolute bloody tragedy. Passing of one of the true greats.

I thought he was going to pertain to immortality, like The Who, and the Rolling Stones.

An icon gone, sad.

I just heard, on the Yorkshire local news. I'm totally stunned, such a huge loss.

Very sad, I wasn't a great fan of his music but he was a nice man.
I used to watch Dr.Who with him back in the late 60's early 70's, as he was my mates older brothers best mate.

Edited because I sound somewhat in gracious, but to clarify I admired his talent enormously, just not the genres he performed in.
No more hiding behind him from the Daleks frown

Very sad. The passing of another great who had quite an influence on my taste in music when I was younger. Always felt that he didn't get the recognition he really deserved, probably because he wasn't 'cool'. Mad Dogs & Englishmen is one of my favourite albums and, as a live recording, has a fantastic rawness to it. RIP Joe.
