I met him once on a flight to IOM as he was running a race team them. Seemed like a really nice bloke. What a rubbish couple of weeks for British music.

Something tells me he wasn't ever destined for a life of Werthers Originals and slippers, though.

I could be very wrong, of course.

Quite. I'm surprised he didn't die in the 90s if I'm honest!

What a loss.

Although, based on earlier lifestyle at the height of their success I am surprised we didn't lose him sooner.

RIP

st. That's rotten news. Prodigy was the first band I got properly into when I was about 11.

49! Bloody hell. BBC catching up now, it seems (they are flipping slow sometimes).

It's better to burn out than to fade away (as Neil Young said), but even so, 49 is a bit too early to burn out.

RIP.

Smack My bh Up - best video I've ever seen. Such a tune as well.
RIP Keith, watching you race and perform I'm surprised you made it to 49!

A real shame, was glad to have seen them a few times. As others have said, one that was never destined for the old folks home. RIP.

Sad news. I must admit I don't know much about their more recent stuff but Fat Of The Land is one of my all time favourite albums, although one that make a point of never listening to on my motorbike as it's a bit dangerous biggrin

Great shame. Didn’t he writeoff a McLaren F1? Of course I may be mistaking him for someone else.

Gutted about this, the Prodigy are my all time favourite band, I grew up with them. I remember listening to my big brothers experience album when it first came out. I was only 4 or 5 at the time, I've followed the Prodigy basically my whole life.

One of my all time favourites and a colossal live act whether playing in a sweat box venue or headlining a massive festival.

Apparently Liam is saying he topped himself. Which makes it that bit worse.

You're thinking of Elon Musk. Flint was big on TVRs, and bikes too (didn't he own a race team?).
