What was #1 when you were born - and for a bonus question, would you listen to it (willingly) these days?

Beatles - I Feel Fine (and yes I would!)

George Michael and Elton John - Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me

Excellent song.

If I was born a few months earlier it could have been The Simpsons - Do The Bartman or Color Me Badd - I Wanna Sex You Up...

Naturally, I can’t recall, and I can hardly ask my parents, but from Googling,
I can narrow it down to a possible three.
“Somewhere over the rainbow”, Judy Garland,
“Moonlight Serenade”, Glenn Miller,
“God Bless America”, Kate Smith.
Suck on that you whippersnappers!

I’d probably listen to all three, but having been in the U.S. on 9/11, “God Bless America” was done to death, on the radio, and in every bar you went into.

Protocol harum. A whiter shade of pale.

A classic tune , can't think of another song by them ,one hit wonder perhaps?
