If i just want background noise or to lose myself in something for a while, i started listening to various ambient mixes on YouTube.
I know most people won't like it but there is a 4 hr long Sith Lord themed ambient mix that i find relaxing to listen to and zone out.

I am very much on the side of metal, hard rock etc, but sometimes I play some Opera to escape. I can't understand what they're saying but those voices are sublime.

I've actually booked tickets for La Traviata in November.....for my Nan you see....

I tend to listen to a playlist of around 10,000 songs on shuffle, but occasioally dabble with other more obscure stuff.

in the same vein as Mike Oldfield

Medieval Music (I was a big Gryphon fan!!)

I’m with you on this.

Hopefully you’ll have a great time with La Traviata…. We’re booked into Longborough in June for Götterdämmerung. Can’t wait.

Sometimes at the right moment and mood it’s other worldly.

One of my favourite escape pieces. Wotan's farewell to Brünhilde from Wagner's Die Walküre.

I can't stand drum n bass but now and again something will come on radio 6 late at night and I'll just lose myself in it.
