Having a silly discussion with my eldest daughter earlier about Linkin Park (she thinks they shouldn’t have carried on with the same name) we started thinking of alternative names.

I suggested ‘Cadillac Boulevard’.

Then thought, “hang on, that’s a great Tribute Act name!”

So in that spirit what Tribute Act band names can you think of.

Points for innuendo or car related themes as above.

If anyone good at AI can conjure up album covers for these mythical acts that would be fun too.

I was trying to come up with a tribute act for Queen, then realised that was Elton John

The Jacksoff Five ?

Ourman and the Armpits ?

Not mine, but the Abba tribute that amused me is 'Still Bjorn'.

Bike and Turn a Corner (Ike and Tina Turner)

There were a couple of solo acts that performed to backing tracks that I quite liked the name of: Pete Loaf and Jeff Lepard.

When trying to start a Beatles tribute band, we settled on the name HELP! (Complete with capitals and exclamation mark for absolute accuracy.)

I thought my suggestion was better though - Beetles 4 Sail. I've since created the perfect picture to go with it.

(I did have an even better one but I've never told anyone as I might want to use it myself one day. There is already a band of that name but they're in Australia so I think I'm safe.)
