So, it's now deep enough into 2026 to be getting announcements about 2027 and I just received the news I hope for most years; Editors are playing Southampton Guildhall in March 2027.

I will be buying a ticket on Friday morning!

A few coming up this year. Matt Schofield at Ronnie Scott's, then Eric Johnson at some point in May, I think. Keb Mo in June, then Walter Trout in the autumn.

i decided i want to go to a festival this year, only reading the lineups released so far mainly ellicits a mark & lard style whooooooOOOOOOO?

that reference alone gives away my age. i'm looking for headliners i know and like, which is very broad but contains very little from the last 10-15 years and what currently passes as popular does not interest me.

any reccos? can be anywhere in the world but i was hoping for the 'proper' festival experience of camping in a farmers field and a large arena, not staying in a hotel with a confined arena which seems to be the case for most euro festivals.

Rush in Manchester. I bought the best I could afford for the first night and then they released a second date with much closer seats. Ah well. Been a fan since 1980. I just hope they are physically fit enough to complete the tour!

The only gig that I have planned for next year is Rush in Helsinki. No doubt many more will be added, in due course
