Thanks.

I'm going to have to watch the rest on catch up as I'm meeting a mate up the pub.

Although I will admit the vocalists are not doing it for me. Including Guy Garvey.

I suppose it is no surprise that the music of ELP does so well performed like this, given the classical influence there in the first place. Am now off to listen to the original In the Court of the Crimson King to remember how it is supposed to be sung. Greg Lake was a wonderful performer and Guy Garvey really isn't up to it!

Vanessa Haynes was excellent on Floyd's GGITS.

Overall - fantastic. Loved almost all of it. Carl Palmer was outstanding, I thought.

Agreed - whoever she was, she was awful, on that and also on 'Northern Lights'.

She was Jane Weaver. Meant nothing to me and an odd choice.

I thought Tubular Bells was rather good. Apparently there was a Jethro Tull track (Living in the Past) but it was cut from the broadcast.

I enjoyed it but variable quality. Some things worked very well but some things didn't. I know what I like was awful and so was And You and I. But the Pink Floyd and King Crimson excerpts were pretty good. Peter Hamill of whom I am a huge fan has lost some of his vocal talents for sure. Funny choice of singers though. Gruff Ryhss would have been good for something like Shipbuilding which would have been a good choice for the concert.

But well done the BBC.
