Was listening to a few old playlists in the car yesterday and despite not hearing them for ages, some of the songs were just instantly recognisable from the intro's...quirky, unusual, whatever. So, thought I might start a new playlist of songs with iconic intro's.

Here's a few idea's....

A Forest - The Cure
Honky Tonk Woman - Rolling Stones
The Way It Is - Bruce Hornsby & The Range
Girl - Beck
Who Can It Be Now - Men at Work

Any other suggestions?

Hard Day's Night - The Beatles
Gimme All Your Lovin' - ZZ Top
More Than a Feeling - Boston
Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple
Stairway to Heaven - Led Zep
Purple Rain - Prince
Walk This Way - Aerosmith / Run DMC
Under Pressure - Queen

Just examples of tunes recognisable from bar #1

Hard Day's Night is an example of recognising an intro from just one chord (which, I believe, is still under scrutiny decades after release)
