Remember a couple of songs by them in the 80,s.'Rosanna' and 'Hold the line'They always stuck in my head.Also Steve Lukather was always mentioned to me as a guitarist that was overlooked and admired when i first started playing guitar.Didn't know they had got together again for a 25 year reunion,what a fantastic voice the singer has,hasn't lost it at all!

They actually never went away and frequently toured the world until they announced they would split last year.
I was fortunate enough to see them several times and I'm convinced they will reunite again before too long . . . .

Agreed but Simon Phillips is pretty handy.

Always liked Toto but Lukather gets on my t1ts a bit. Just wish he would shut up and play..........

...he's very handy indeed, but a different style to JP.

Bit of a thread resurection this.

They have a new band setup and they sound, to my ears, pretty amazing. I bought the cd anyway as it comes with a full Blu-ray video recording of the live session they did during the lockdowns.



And as for the drummer, well, check him out because he is something special.

I think I"m right in saying that they had originally decided to call it a day but were reminded by their record labels they were contractually required to make one more album - which they did: 11.

From this was a track called Burn which to my ears is one of the best songs they've ever done.

Didn't their original drummer die from a gardening related incident?
