any LandCruiser 200 TDV8 owners here?
Discussion
Am currently considering examples around the $30k mark, and will likely export from UK to Caribbean, and have to consider the lack of qualified servicing available to me locally.
1. are they susceptible to DPF issues if not a lot of highway / long runs done, and who has anyone used to remove DPF for whatever reason in UK?
2. Injectors - are they prone to any issues e.g. if bad fuel ran through, and at what mileage do they tend to need doing anyway? what scary figure might that run at...
3. Are any other big ticket servicing items (scheduled or not) likely to hit around the 80 - 130k miles mark? Steering racks, diffs or front CVs common like with the 100?
4. Anyone upgraded (ECU tune) and who did you use in UK?
Thanks for any insight in advance

Alright mate. Owned one. Few things:
DPF is a pain if you’re just pottering about. Needs a good run. Plenty of UK places will delete it but you’ll need an MOT workaround if you ever bring it back.
Injectors are solid but bad fuel kills them. At 100k+ miles you might see issues. Replacing all four will sting you £2k+ easy.
Big ticket stuff: crank pulley fails, alternator dies, EGR coolers crack. Steering rack can weep but not as bad as a 100 series. CVs are fine.
Tune: remap transforms it. Used Celtic Tuning or Dyno Torque. No complaints.
