ARDS test. SIlverstone or Brands Hatch?

Hi all
Putting the wheels in motion (no pun intended) to get my National B licence. Got the medical booked, now just need to book the test

I am looking at both Silverstone and Brands Hatch. Does anyone have experience with either?

I did mine at Brands with MSV was well organized good instructors etc.

I did mine at Bedford Autodrome (also MSV).

That seemed absolutely fine too.

Would simply say whichever is easiest for you. I did mine at Silverstone, again well organised and friendly bunch.

I heard rumors prior to taking it that they (silverstone) are strict and may even go as far as trying to fail some but I saw no evidence of that.

silverstone was great drove a caterham/ a skid pan car and a lotus all as part of the ARDs day

I did Thruxton. I doubt there's really a lot of difference anyway, so go where's most convenient.

Original one I did at Thruxton, and I then did another one for the Academy at Combe. Both were pretty similar, so if it's just the test and theory, I'm not sure it matters too much. If you want to do some of the extended courses, MSV in general offer some very well organised courses.

Just did mine at Brands, £250 for just the afternoon and everyone was lovely. Silverstone is ££££!

Still an MSV site, so similar/same as Brands.

Very friendly and informative / supportive.

Many hundreds of years ago, I did my Ards at Sliverstone on the Stowe circuit. I found it uncomfortable as the circuit was mainly marked out by cones which I particularly dislike. I still passed, but I didn't enjoy it!

They have at least turned the Stowe Circuit in to a 'proper' one now, but I would agree that it's far from feature-full! I'd go with one of the MSV circuits....
