Anyone replaced the drive shaft boots , both inner and outer? Instructions please! Mine are just starting to go so best do it early before the go totally. Wondered if some exchange drive shafts might be easier?

If they are the Granada type then this link may help.

Implies you simply remove the shaft, remove a circlip and remove the CV joint.
If yours is like that then the only thing to remember is to mark the shaft and CV so you put them back on the same spline.
If the new boot comes with the crimp style securing band then bring them down to the workshop and borrow our crimp tool.

Yes its quite straightforward as Steve says. Just a circlip to remove on the outer end and the whole lot slides off. The only complication is the crimp.

Make sure you always keep the driveshafts on the correct sides, as they get a stress distribution in them over time, and you may get premature failure in them if you swap them from left to right.

Great stuff. Thanks guys. Steve, I will get the boots and replace them, and yes help with the crimping would be great many thanks. Beer tokens will be provided !, oh and I will bring you tvr unit that Matthew borrowed!,
