Just debating whether to add a horrible numberplate to to front top of the clip. Seems a huge shame...

I wondered how many others there have done, or not done?

I have a 9x3 inch front plate ready to go on the car..... I figured a small plate is better than no plate. And I'll carry a normal plate in the luggage pod incase of trouble.

That said, I never had a front plate on the Atom in 3yrs and it wasn't a problem, even when a few Bobbies were looking around it while parked up. I think with "interesting" cars you seem to get a bit of grace, providing you're not being a loon, so I'll risk it a bit.

My stick-on-plate is on my splitter.

I have a normal one that is in the side pod and is held on with Velcro in the "mouth" if needed.

I have a vinyl one on top of the nose which has never caused an issue with police or MOT. Plenty of traffic officers have viewed the car at meets etc and not made comment.

I keep in the front window on the dash like a trade plate would displayed, no problems yet!

Be careful putting a numberplate in the air intake section of the front. I heard from a mate that he did that because rego wanted in there and in traffic the engine got hot and at 190kmh the car would lift and change lanes due to lack of downforce.

The plate just hangs there and would be pushed back and up out of the way by the airflow.

I have only ever used it to drive the 2 miles to my local MOT station.

Does that look better than a vinyl plate on the clip?
