Has anyone on here paint shielded their Ultima? I did the Atom and it make the world of difference keeping it, as-new free from stone chips. I'd like to do the Ult before it hits the road, but I'm drawing a blank with local companies as they don't have the patterns.

Any recommendations from the group? Midlands based pls, as close to the greater Birmingham area as possible! I'd even consider fitting it myself if I could get a pre-cut front clam piece in the post.

We were going to start work on a kit when time permitted, but if there is interest will accelerate it a bit?!

Cheers Johnny..... well, you've got one hand up in the air and waving, LOL!! What would you need in terms of further interest to do a kit? What film would you use?

There are now various Spray on Films similar to the normal 3M applied films, and will peel off if you want it off or need to replace it.

The pond's getting smaller bud..... I'm sure a few cans can't weigh that much, I bet there allot cheaper than buying and getting the film installed..

shipping paint from the states to the uk can be expensive as it has to be shipped as hazardous..

Haha, no problem! I am going to finish the pattern for the kit soon (it is halfway there at the moment simply because of the vinyl patterns I have made recently) and was going to get some samples in to see which cut cleanly and which offered good protection.

Hi,

I've fitted four paint protection kits on Ultima's, the Kit is pre cut and contains a three piece full protection for the front end up to the headlights, front edge of the splitter, both lower sides and a piece for the front side vents for those with them fitted, very good quality 3M....

If anybody is interested pm for details/prices

regards

What's the latest on this? Jonny, did you get yours finished? If so, what is the cost for the front end kit and what is the actual film?

Cheers

I too am waving my hand (hard to see all the way from CA, USA) for access to a kit or some such. And any experience with one of the new 'spray on' products (I've only heard of the 3M version; I've heard lots of discussions about it in the office and on line) but no real experiences yet.
Thx,
V

Not had a chance to sort anything out I am afraid - it is towards the bottom of the list at the moment. We will post on here if we ever get round to sorting this out.

I fear it's now too late for me now..... less than 2mths in and the stone chips are showing already frown I blame harassing F458s, following MP4s, a Zonda & the like, so as frustrating as the damage is, it was worth it!!
